Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is two different markets in one state. In the south, Solan district contains the Baddi–Barotiwala–Nalagarh belt, the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing cluster in the country, where conversations are about contract manufacturing, range extension and packing rather than retail.

North and east of that, the hill districts — Shimla, Mandi, Kangra, Kullu, Chamba — are a retail and institutional market with real logistics constraints: longer transit, dispersed chemists and seasonal access. Partners working the hills tend to favour stable presentations and longer order cycles, and plan stock around the winter months.
